These two Latin movements from his Três cantos religiosos highlight Brazilian composer Luciano Gallet's French influences and admiration for Glauco Velásquez. In his short life, Gallet championed the unique roots of Brazilian music through not only his compositions, but also as pianist, conductor, magazine publisher, and director of the Instituto Nacional de Música.
